CCNA Routing & Switching

The CCNA Routing & Switching certification verifies skills to install, configure, maintenance and troubleshootings a midsize network with Cisco routers and switches.

Cisco recommends the following courses to prepare for the required exams:

ICND1 – Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1
Exam 100-101

ICND2 – Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 2
Exam 200-101

Instead of the exam 100-101 and 200-101 and the CCNA Routing & Switching Composite Exam can be selected 200-120. The certification is valid for three years. A CCNA can recertify using one of the two exams 200-120 (CCNA) or 200-101 (ICND2) or any examination of the Associate, Professional or Specialist level. Even the existence of any CCIE Theory exam leads to the automatic re-certification.

ICND2

Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 2

This course provides the knowledge that is required for installation, configuration and troubleshooting of small enterprise networks with Cisco components. Knowledge of the basic configuration of switches and routers is enriched in this course with further knowledge of VLANs and Spanning Tree and the routing protocols OSPF and EIGRP with IPv4 and IPv6. The course includes numerous practical exercises on the test network, which account for about 50% of the course content. The contents of this course will be checked during the certification to CCNA Routing and Switching. So he prepares for the exam 200-101 (ICND2), which leads in conjunction with the exam 100-101 (ICND1) for certification to CCNA Routing and Switching. Alternatively, the exam 200-120 (CCNA Routing and Switching) are stored, which query the contents of ICND1 and ICND2 alike.
