If you have already completed an exam, you can use the Associate-Level Certifications Exam Logic Tool consider what combinations are possible.

A CCNA Security has the necessary skills to set up a security infrastructure to detect vulnerabilities in the network and to identify possible security risks.

To prepare for the exams Cisco recommends visiting the following courses:

ICND1 – Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices, Part 1
Exam 100-101

IINS – Implementing Cisco Network Security
Exam 210-260

The certification is valid for three years. A CCNA Security may contact the Security Service exam or any exam of the Associate, Professional or Specialist level (exam number starts with 642) to recertify. Even the existence of any CCIE Theory exam leads to the automatic re-certification.

Implementing Cisco Network Security

In this course, participants learn how the network of a small company site with the help of Cisco IOS Security features may be hedged. Design, implementation and monitoring of a holistic security solution with Cisco IOS components and the Cisco ASA will be presented and implemented in numerous practical exercises. It all IOS configurations are performed via the Command Line Interface (CLI). Many lab exercises provide for the implementation of the acquired knowledge into practice. This course prepares students for the exam 210-260 for CCNA Security.
