CCNA Service Provider

The certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate – Service Provider (SP CCNA) is aimed at the latest technologies and developments in the Service Provider from environment. You certify basic skills for implementing and configuring Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Networks.

Prerequisites: none

Cisco recommends the following courses to prepare for the required exams:

SPNGN1 – Building Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Networks, Part 1
Exam 640-875

SPNGN2 – Building Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Networks, Part 2
Exam 640-878

The certification is valid for three years. A CCNA Service Provider may contact the Service Provider exam or any exam of the Associate, Professional or Specialist level (exam number starts with 642) to recertify. Even the existence of any CCIE Theory exam leads to the automatic re-certification.

SPNGN1

Building Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Networks, Part 1

This course provides network technicians and -Engineers the basic knowledge to telecommunications networks and leads to first experience in dealing with service providers networks. Participants will understand basic information about the essential components of a network and learn how the network of a service provider works. In exchange, the concept for IP Next-Generation Network is (IP NGN) architecture explained, build modern, scalable and reliable networks with the service provider. The theoretical knowledge is strengthened by means of exercises in a laboratory environment. Here come devices and software components (Cisco IOS software, IOS XE Software, and Cisco IOS XR Software) Cisco used, which are typical of service provider networks.

The course prepares students for the exam 640-875 certification within the Cisco Certified Network Associate Service Provider.

Building Cisco Service Provider Next-Generation Networks, Part 2

This course equips network technician and -Engineers out with the knowledge and experience that is necessary to implement a service provider network and to operate. The focus is on Cisco switches and routers, which are used in LAN and WAN networks of service providers. After attending the event, participants can configure various Cisco network components, test and verify their function. They are also to be found in the location simple mistake and fix it. The acquired theoretical knowledge is deepened with practical exercises in a laboratory environment. In the laboratory eligible for service provider networks typical hardware and software components (Cisco IOS / IOS XE Software and Cisco IOS XR) used. The course prepares students for the exam 640-878 certification within the Cisco Certified Network Associate Service Provider.
